Anybody up for a fly tomorrow around 9-10 or 3-5. Put a few batteries thru this afternoon, dead calm. Tomorrow supposed to be be dead-dead calm.

Hi Greg, would love to go for a fly but we are going over to the sunshine coast for a few days to our daughters, will be back next weekend. Cheers.

Sorry I can't help at the bunnings BBQ this time as I am leaving early Sat morning for Mackay. I will be up there for ???? helping out with some casual teaching in schools that were affected by the recent cyclone. See you all when I get back.Cheers.

Thank you to the members who made the Bunnings BBQ a great success.:)

We cleared over $500 which was great and the weather was lovely too so that made it even better. Lets see how much we can make with the next one.

Shame on me!!

I forgot to thank Steel's Bakery & Cafe for donating the bread for the sausage sizzle today.
This was another reason why the profit margin was so high today.

Thank you Steel's Bakery & Cafe.

Here is a sample of what we can use. For around $150 we can build these start up benchs for the club. I have just finished this one, they can be modified for various size aircraft. The Bravata is 112" wingspan and it sits nicely in the opening. These would be better than kneeling down working on your aircraft & the exhaust wont kill the grass. I have more images in my Hanger if you want more details.

I think you are going to need at least 250cc moki to get that landing gear off the ground Gregg

What grade balsa did you use when you were building it? From the photo', it looks more like treated pine. II'm worried that it's going to be more than 7 kilos and you haven't had a qualified heavy-model inspector checking it as you built it. By the time you fit an engine to it (perhaps a Honda 26hp v-twin?), it looks like it will tip the scales at 100 kg! It looks sturdy, but a tad heavy. On the plus side, flying on a windy day won't be a problem!

I love Eklectric powered things... my phone, my cordless drill, my toaster, my shaver...

But that's where it ends!! THINGS THAT FLY NEED REAL ENGINES!!!   :D
